CaviCore Designs view of the injection-molding field combines two critical areas into one. Plastic part design combined with mold design. With that in mind, our primary focus is to provide the following services:
- Part Design and Consulting. Using our experience with a multitude of many different plastic resins, we have designed parts/products for many areas including: Medical, Consumer Products, Point-of-Purchase, Toys and Automotive. Combining that knowledge with our hands on experience of building close tolerance injection molds, we can suggest simple changes to part designs (where applicable) that could potentially reduce the cost of tooling, lead times, and cycle times. All of which adds up to a more cost effective product.
-Mold Design. Full service injection mold design is what we do best. Specializing in the injection mold area, we will design you a mold that meets your requirements. Whether it is a single cavity prototype mold, or a multi cavity tool that needs maximum cavitation to produce the maximum amount of product in the fastest time, or one that needs to meet strict budget requirements, CaviCore Designs can help.
- Cavity and core generation. Need to replace existing cavities in an old tool, or need to have new cavities and cores CNC machined for a new project? Using the latest software, cavity and core models can quickly be generated that can be used to create traditional 2d prints or used to generate a 3d cutter path for CNC machining and greatly reduce lead times.
-3d Modeling. CaviCore Designs takes customer ideas and sketches and turns them into 3d models that bring those ideas to life. If more than one part is involved in a project, then an entire assembly can be done. And utilizing the latest in collaboration tools you will be able to view those models right on your own computer without the inconvenience of having to install any software. Use them anytime, anywhere, on any computer for concepts ideas or presentations. Also provided, file formats can be used to machine prototypes from a material blank or used in a “3d printer” or sterolithography (SLA) machine to give you an actual model to hold in your hand.
-Paper to CAD conversions. Taking your existing 2d drawings and creating electronic CAD files from them. Each done by hand so as both the geometry and the dimensions are accurate in both mechanical and architectural drawings.
