Eric Scott Latek, president of Phantazma Pictures Inc., graduated from Emerson College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Film Concentration, Visual and Media Arts/Mass Communication from Emerson College in 1998. Latek is the founder and President of Phantazma Pictures, a multi-media film company. He also is a part-time professor at Rhode Island School of Design and The School of Technology at Johnson and Wales University, teaching: Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, and Macromedia Flash MX. Eric has developed and teaches a hands on workshop for The School of Technology to give students the real life experience on productions to utilize in their career. Latek has also been a consultant for Johnson and Wales University’s School of Technology and an Animation/Motion Graphics consultant for Nobel Prize Winner Professor Leon N. Cooper, Director of Neural Science at Brown University in Providence, RI.

Phantazma Pictures currently produces various regional shows such as, “Careers in New England” including clients such as Boston Scientific and the Lahey Clinic. Phantazma Pictures has also worked with Fox TV on a reality show called “What’s Your Life Worth”. The company has written, directed, and produced shows and segments for national television such as “Hip-Hop Nation” for ZCTV. Director Eric Scott Latek has presently completed a music video for the up and coming R&B group “Reality”. “A Life in the Day of Ringo Vings”, Phantazma Pictures first feature film, has won numerous awards; Highest Honor “Wow! Award”: Best Indie Film of the Year’ from Time Warner’s Education Channel’s Independent Film Festival, Tampa, “Best Director in World Competition” (out of fourteen countries), AFFMA International Film Festival, Los Angeles, and “The People’s Choice Award”, Adobe Digital Cinema Film Festival, Los Angeles.
